Personal Experience Paved the Way
During 2004, Alan Stanford and his wife, Betty, found themselves unexpectedly dealing with medical crises for their adult parents. It was an eye-opening experience; they found:
- A lack of detailed medical history in one place
- Difficulty finding insurance information
- Challenges finding the right care in the right setting
- They didn't always know what questions to ask
- And so much more
Based on these experiences, Alan set out to create a new company where adult children and their parents could find a trusted advisor with experience to help them with the challenges of aging and health care.
Understanding and “navigating” today’s health care system is increasingly complicated and perplexing because there are so many providers, services, insurance programs and alternatives. Knowing what to ask and finding answers to questions is difficult and so challenging.
As we age, health issues become a challenge for not just the older adult, but for their families as well. Most older adults and families face this situation without good, reliable, unbiased information and knowledgeable, independent advisors.
My Health Care Manager has set out to change that. We bring you the experience and expertise of seasoned, compassionate professionals who understand aging, the health care environment, the stress and the emotions that can often run high during these times.
